Fall 2017
This trimester we will focus on matter and physical and chemical changes. Students are given a great opportunity to attend Starbase and participate in some hands-on activities in this unit. Students will learn that difference between a chemical change and a physical change. They will also use their engineering skills to program robots and design rocket ships for "Eggbert". Make sure to ask your children about these projects in October.
Here are some pictures of our recent visits to Starbase. Students are learning the importance of team work, building molecules, designing rocket ships for Eggbert, learning about Newton's law of force and motion, and finally learning that air has mass through a marshmallow experiment. Make sure sure to ask your children about these great hands-on activities.
Students learn to read the periodic table in science class and used the information from the table to create atoms. Here are the results.
